BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE (UNITEC)Stephen is a registered architect with over 18 years of professional experience, successfully crafting and managing a diverse range of projects across New Zealand, from small-scale developments to large, complex endeavours.
After a distinguished career at renowned practices including Stevens Lawson Architects and Architectus, he established Lammas Architects in 2019. Stephen was joined by Yvette Overdyck in 2024, and together they rebranded the practice as Lammas Overdyck Architects.
Stephen is celebrated for his design talent and his proven ability to manage project teams.
His approach combines a deep care for each project outcome with meticulous attention to detail. He resonates deeply with the philosophy that “quality hurts once.” By investing in quality—whether it be time, money, effort —at the outset, projects tend to run more smoothly, ultimately leading to more satisfying results and avoiding higher costs and regret later on.With a rich portfolio of award-winning work spanning high-end residential, medium-density housing, master planning, education, civic, and commercial sectors, Stephen brings a wealth of experience to every new endeavour.

Jessica takes on the role of practice manager at Lammas Architects.Additionally, she works part time as a secondary school teacher and is a busy mum of three.
With her pragmatic organizational skills, and ability to manage 50 open tabs in her brain at any given moment, Jessica works behind the scenes ensuring that the business runs smoothly.
